The Kraft Journal Challenge

It has been my pleasure to be the guest designer
at The Kraft Journal blog this month.
This week's challenge is "Just For Kids".
Well, I happen to have BIG kids now and one who is having a birthday this week so I created a masculine birthday banner to celebrate the day!
This could easily be adapted for a younger child by using a playful patterned paper.
This banner was made using the following supplies from

The rest of the supplies came from Close To My Heart:
patterned paper, Durables Square Metal Studs, and stamps from
VICTORY "Workshop on the Go" which I received from my
team leader (thanks Brenda!)
Corrugated Stars: Milepost Shapes
Inks: Olive, Chocolate, and Moonstruck
The shape of the banner was cut out using my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, I love that cart!
Here's a matching card that I made using same supplies + sentiment from "4 My Friend".

I hope you have time to hop on over to The Kraft Journal blog for some inspiration to kick off your week!

What a fun birthday set, Lynn! Perfect for your "big" boy! Love that paper and color combo mixed with the kraft. The tickets across the banner and the corrugated stars are just fabulous. Really great job!

Love your card! I have to admit to initially not being a fan of the Victory paper, but it makes such nice masculine cards-- I may have to just get some for those "manly" projects! :) I do love the plaid!

Great masculine card! I find those so difficult to do; yours is just perfect.
