Beautiful Day

As mentioned earlier I am taking a class at
Big Picture Classes called Stashbusters Anonymous.
One of the challenges for this week was to use chevrons in a layout.
The instructor, Aly, shared a video tutorial on making chevrons out of strips of paper.
I tried the folded corner technique.
I love the dimension it gives to the layout.
I used my Tommy papers to go with our summer Navy Pier photos.
The title "hello today" is all stamped using the new
Close To My Heart stamp set "Reel Life".
I loved this stamp set as soon as I saw it in the new Fall/Winter IDEA Book.
Since then I've been seeing references to the "view master" discs in all sorts of resources.
I think Close To My Heart is right on trend with so many new products in this IDEA Book.
To see for yourself, just click on the "Shop With Me" button on my sidebar and browse around.
I am having so much fun with the ideas in this class and I am busting through my stash of patterned papers!
I anxiously await each new challenge.
Just found out this challenge entry won a prize!
It was a random selection but I am thrilled just the same.
I will be getting a new tool to play with.
Whoo hoo!
More on that later!

Oh, wow, how cool this is, Lynn! I love all those chevron paper strips! The folded corner technique is really eye catching. Love the photos placement and paper choices, too. And the bit of ribbon and stamping on the bottom are the perfect finishing touches!
