Hello LOVE

Welcome to the final "Scrappy Saturday" of 2016!

I thought it fitting to share my favorite layout,

documenting my favorite moments from 2016.

In November, we got tickets to see Elle King

in concert in Indianapolis.

Knowing the our son, Scott, hung out with her in NYC and became friends.

After ordering tickets,

I started following her on FB and she posted a video stating that she would 

marry or renew the vows of one couple at each concert on this tour.

Well, I applied by filling out a questionnaire, had an e-mail and phone interview with her management team. 

Scott sent a text and put in a plug for his parents and we were chosen.

I couldn't believe it!

We got VIP passes, VIP table and drinks and were just treated so well the entire night.

It was so cool.

After renewing our vows, on stage,

Elle sang "Oh Darlin" (Beatles cover song) to us while we danced

in front of over 1000 people.

Wow, I cannot believe I did that. 

It was so much fun and such a special way to celebrate being married 35 years.

I will always remember this special night.

What a sweetheart!

She seemed genuinely tickled to learn that we were Scott's parents when we met after the show. 

And that is my favorite memory of 2016 and that is why I scrapbook, to document and remember those special memories!
