"Pretty Paper" is the challenge theme at the
Kraft Journal blog this week.
I did not have to submit a DT post because I am sharing a tutorial on Wednesday but I wanted to give you all a heads up about the "Pretty Paper" challenge because
I bet you have lots of pretty paper in your stash.
I decided to make the "Pretty Paper" idea carry through the theme of my blog all week because I have some pretty paper to use up before busting into my new papers.
Did I mention that the new Close To My Heart IDEA Book goes live on August 1st?
Well, one of the perks of being a consultant is that you get to order a month in advance.
Oh, those packages of pretty paper are calling my name but I challenged myself to use up some papers from the current IDEA Book before moving on so that's what I will share this week. For this card I started with a Brown Kraft CS base from the Kraft Outlet.
Then I found a sketch in the new
Make It From Your Heart, volume 2, book (also available August 1).
It is full of lovely sketches and inspiration which I will share with you all week as I use up my Buzz and Bumble papers and coordinating elements.
I scuffed up the edges with my CTMH sanding block.
The sentiment is stamped from the "For My Friend" set and it was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I will be featuring cards inspired by sketches from the idea book all week long so please come back. And beginning Thursday, my Kraft-y Heart team will be doing our monthly blog share.
This month's theme...
out with the old and in with the new!
Day 1- use up your stash of pretty papers
Day 2- combine current product with new product
Day 3- create with all new product
Oh, I can't wait to get to the new product day!

Beautiful card, Lynn! Looking forward to seeing what the Krafty hearts share and the creations you come up with with new product!
I don't know how on earth you have the strength to stay away from those new goodies, Lynn! But I sure love what you're doing with the "old"! The colors of this collection are so up my alley! LOVE this design, too!
