"J" is for Journey

Today I'm sharing my final project for this week's challenge of using
 Simple Stories: DOCUMENTED line.
It is a layout, once again, inspired by one of
Shimelle's "Starting Points".
You can check that out HERE.
I think this particular "Starting Point" layout is going to be one I turn to often.
That Shimelle is so inspiring (and entertaining)!!!
This layout works great with 6 x 6 pads.
Everything on this layout is from the Simple Stories: DOCUMENTED line except for the
ribbon which is from The Ribbon Carousel.
Next week I will be changing it up and creating with a
super bright, springy line.
Any guesses?

Christmas Garland

One of the challenges at Shimelle's blog is to create a Christmas garland.
Check it out (along with her video tutorial) HERE.
There are also lots of inspiring ideas linked up at the blog.
here is my garland:

I have to tell you that I just LOVE the way the garland turned out, but not the photo.  The lighting in my living room is not the best for photography so this was the best I could do.
This garland is made with lots of my favorite things from The Kraft Outlet and the
Simple Stories: 25 Days of Christmas Kit
Don't you just love this jolly Santa sticker?
Kraft Outlet supplies:  postcard tags (these are so neat!)
Kraft tags, natural twill and tiny clothespins
Kraft Baker's Twine
other:
paper and cardstock stickers from Simple Stories: 25 Days of Christmas Kit
mini-spools: Maya Road
flowers:  Petaloo
Thanks for looking!

year.o.graphy

Have you heard of it?
Have you seen it?
It is amazing!
I've already used this Simple Stories kit to start a 2012 scrapbook.
I have divided page protectors labeled for each month.
I can add as many layouts and divided pages as I need later!
Today I'll share a few cards that I made with my leftovers...

I love the homespun, applique look to this kit.
If you are a local reader I just want to remind you
that my
Fall Open House
is Saturday, 10-2
Sunday, 12-3
at Just Plain Annie's Quilt Shop.
Simple Stories lines will be featured, along with some new Christmas lines
offered through MemoryWorks.
Thanks for visiting!
