Another Treasure

I love to pick up vintage glass candy dishes at thrift stores.
One, they remind me of my grandmother and two, I often use them to store supplies on my work table.  I use them to hold buttons, brads, punched shapes, and various paper snippets.
When the edges are scooped out, it is easy to just slide out buttons, brads, and tiny pieces and it looks so much prettier than plastic!
I discovered that this little treasure is just the right size to hold a spool of twine.
The spool rolls effortlessly when you pull on the end.
It only cost .50!
Love that!

You are a girl after my own heart, Lynn! I love prowling the junk stores for old treasures like these. :)

What an excellent find! I like having some various sized containers around my desk to hold bits and bobs that I'm afraid will get lost under the chaos, but mine containers are just random things, not pretty and exciting like yours. I just might have to go on a thrift store hunt!
