I finally finished one of the class assignments for the
BPC workshop that I took called Create and Share: Cardmaking.
Kim Kesti, the teacher, suggested making a "happy mail kit" where you can keep
extra cards, stamps, labels, gift cards, really anything that makes sharing your hand-crafted cards easier.
I had this cute paper-covered suitcase in my stash and added a stretchy ribbon to hold my labels and stamps.
I tucked in some "thank you" and "thinking of you" cards to have handy.
I usually have my cards in my downstairs studio and mailing supplies in upstairs office so sending a card required running up and down stairs, now I have it all in one spot.
I just loved this idea so I thought I would share my "happy mail kit" here.

Love this ... I do my best to send a handmade card every day. I have a cute box with a selection of cards in it. My address list is close by and stamps are in another area of the house. This is sooo cute I might have to expand my little box into a suitcase!
What a great idea to have a suitcase full of cards! Love all your cards too :) they are beautiful and yes "happy mail!"

What a great idea, Lynn! And such an adorable way to house all your supplies. I really love that little case. Adding the trim to the back was such a clever idea. Totally LOVE this!
This is a very neat idea. It is not only useful as heck, it will look decorative while sitting around. I have my cards in a plastic tote under other stuff in a hard to reach place... so I tend to use only the most recent cards I've made that I haven't yet put into the bin. I'm not actually sure how this lousy system got in place but I've been rolling with it for months.
