Inky Skies

There was a great tutorial on the
Close To My Heart blog HERE.
They called it All-Purpose Mat Color Splat.
That post inspired me to play around with the technique.
Here is the result of one of my favorite pieces from the
art experiments.

To create the background I just swiped my Glacier Ink Pad across my craft mat.
Then I swiped the Olive Ink Pad.
Next I sprayed a bit of plain water on it with my Spray Pen.
(These pens give off the perfect mist.)
Next I laid a piece of Colonial White Cardstock on top of the inked up mat.
This is the result.
I love the softness of it.
When it was dry, I stamped the tree,
 from Always Grateful,
in Cocoa Ink

The background cardstock is from the Whimsy Fundamentals packet.

The sentiment is from the Big Hug.
Hugs to you my faithful readers!

I love that technique because you never quite know what you'll end up with, and it always feels like a bit of magic! This is absolutely gorgeous, Lynn! That background made the perfect scene for your gorgeous stamped trees! LOVE the sequins at the bottom, too!!
