Ready, Set, Go

I made this card for a certain someone who is near and dear to my heart.
He is leaving the country for a new adventure and will be gone for several months.
While I am happy for his new opportunity this mama is a bit sad that it will probably be a year between visits.
Wishing him the best in his new endeavors!

To create this card I used the travel-themed papers from
the "Wanderful" line.
The stamp set is called "Here We Go".

It is perfect for travel layouts but it works for cards too.
I see myself using it for graduation cards this spring.
This week, on the blog, will be a mix/match of projects.
I am heavy into writing a grant proposal and the deadline is approaching quickly!
Keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to use this stamp set in my art journal for my travels this summer!!!
I'll keep you posted.

Oh, I feel for ya, my friend! Although happy for this opportunity, I'm sure it's quite hard to think about him being gone for that long. But what an amazing experience for him! LOVE that photo! And love your card, too! You nailed the masculine design here. Love the layered banner strips and love the stamped tag. That globe trotting image is absolutely perfect!
Good luck on your grant proposal! Hope you have a great week!

Some birdies just fly further than others but no worries ... he'll make his way back with new perspectives and fresh ideas! Love the photo, love the card, love how you're using that stamp set! Best wishes to your son and I look forward to seeing updates!

Oh, how hard it is when children fly far. I hope that his travels are safe and filled with rich adventure! This card is super fun and has great mixtures of embellishment!
